ObiWan looks intimidating, but once you get the hang of it, its easy. If you’re a programmer, take the time to try it out - once you have you’ll probably like it!
• Drag the control panel to the System Folder.
• If you’ve used ObiWan before, drag the files in the ObiWan Folder to the ObiWan folder in the Preferences Folder in the System Folder.
• If you haven’t used ObiWan before, drag the ObiWan Folder to the Preferences folder in the System Folder (under System 6 you may need to create the Preferences folder first).
• If you are a C programmer, launch Master Yoda, click the Set Insert Proc and select the C Parse Procedure from the Parse Procedures folder. Quit Master Yoda.
• Open the ObiWan control panel and play with the things there.
• Restart your Mac, the ObiWan icon should be displayed during boot.
• Press cmd-` to open the ObiWan display area at the bottom of the screen.
• Read the info there, the important keys are cmd-`, cmd-, and cmd-.
• Example - press cmd-` to open the display, type "hopen" <return> to find the definition of HOpen. Type cd-shift-return to paste it in to a text document.
